Recently obtained Babolat Control Plus and I have reservations about the racket as I have suffered some arm pain which I have never had with any other racket (been using old OS Head Radical Tour for some years)..but I am a bit old in the tooth so it could just be my age. Similar reports with Babolat rackets in user reviews elsewhere... Racket felt very good however during first plays. I have not played with it since replacing original poly string with a multifibre as recommended by Jens (see thread elsewhere in this forum) as racket is relatively stiff.

I play with the i.Prestige, which I really like. They are a little hard to find with the new flexpoints out, but I think they are great racquets.
I play mostly a baseline game, but come to net on occassion and play some doubles. The racquet will not give you a ton of power, but it does provide great control and feel. It is fairly heavy, which I like, and it has a dense string pattern.
I have had some durability issues with the butt caps coming unstapled from the handle, but I seem to be the only person I know who has experienced this. I have tried other racquets, but I haven't found any I like more.

abalckwell22, I can't comment on the frames, but I have seen loose buttcap staples on other head frames - I assume there is not a good clinch on the staples.

i bought the pure controll and in 8 hours i had like little cramps in my shoulder. i dont know what could that be, maybe that i need to work out a little bit, im 15, so obviously its not that im old.
My coach told me that this racquet has caused arm problems to almost everyone that used it,he told me that it has been retired from babolats line next year, he said that only pros can handle it beacause they have enough muscle to protect their arms.
so i wouldnt recomend you to buy pure control, unless you test it for more than 2 days.

This effect of the Pure Control on arm condition is interesting. I had problems but on replacing the poly supplied in the racket with a multifibre (thanks to Jens for his advice here) I feel arm soreness may no longer be the problem it was but only time will tell. Would it not be that all Babolat rackets are prone to this phenomenon as presumably the basic build and stiffness will be the same...sorry if this is moving off-topic but the observation is very important. I actually like the overall feel and balance of this racket a great deal but the arm soreness would cause me to stop using it if it returns.
