Selecting a String for your Tennis Racquet
Players that break string on a regular basis will want to find a string that gives them good durability. Players that do not break string regularly will want to use a string that gives them good performance. Usually strings that offer good playability and performance offer poor durability and vice versa. Tennis strings range in gauge from 15 (thickest) to 18 (thinnest). Thicker strings, 15 and 16 gauges, will offer more durability, thinner strings, 17 and 18 gauges will offer more performance.
