Hey guys,

new to the boards :) but i have a question.
I just bought a used Eagnas Hawk 800 yesterday but when i took it home, i finally realized the fixed clamps do not rotate or go up and down. The base of the clamps rotate but the clamp itself is stuck. I called eagnas and they said it might be due to rust between the clamp base and the clamp itself.

Does anyone know a good way to loosen up the clamp from it's base?

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,

iggie

Try this. Remove the clamps from the base by using a 5mm hex key to remove the 4 screws at the corner of the track. Remove the track and swivel clamp base assembly from the turntable.

see http://www.eagnas.com/maxfaq/list/list/aswbased.html

Apply penetrating oil and let stand a few hours. That should do it

Hey rumruner,

Sorry, i think my post was alittle confusing.
I didn't mean the swivel clamp base and the base was stuck.
I meant the actual clamp that goes into the swivel clamp base.

So from the link you posted, the clamp that goes into the hole of the swivel clamp base.

So my clamp doesn't rotate or go up and down inside the swivel clamp base.

I'm trying to figure out a way to loosen it up and try to make it rotate and move up and down like it's suppose to.

does that make sense?

Thanks again for your help,

iggie
