Dunlop rep stopped by the other day with about half of the new '09 racquets...a couple of them look pretty neat. Red/black paintjobs and a newly designed 300tour which Blake will be playing with. Is their red/black paint scheme taking a clue from the Yonex RQiS1tour?

You know that Blake's racquet only has the same paint as the 300 series of Dunlop, right? He plays with a custom frame. Anyway, I am not sure where Dunlop takes clue from. ;)

Blake actually plays with a slightly customized 200 :)

I know that he does not play with a 200. He plays with a racquet made by Dunlop in the 90s. It is a mould that is not being used for any current Dunlop model. The closest thing in terms of shape nowadays is the one of the Technifibre racquets that comes out of the same mould. This mould is also being used for the racquets that Tommy Haas and several other pros use. That is not to say that their racquets have identical weight, ballance, flex and so on. Everyone of them gets a racquet that is customized to his needs. Unfortunately this is the truth. The days when you could by the same racquet that the pros are using from the store are long gone. ;)

Not true...Nadal plays with the same racquet that is sold on the shelf...except he adds exactly one ounce of lead at the head and has his tension at 48 lbs. :D

i mean 51 lbs, not 48. (told to me directly by a tournament stringer who strung Nadal's stick)
