I've had my Prince Neos stringer for close to 10 years and it's good as new except for some scratches on the paint. Overall, it's in great shape.

One of the key things I do to prolong the life of the tension spring is to turn the tension knob to zero when I don't use the stringer.

After 10 years, I was told that the tension would most likely be off and need callibration.

What's the most reliable and accurate tension callibrators available in the open market?

Thanks in advance!

Hey thanks for that tip on prolonging the life of the spring. I just bought a neos 1000 and cannot wait until it gets delivered. I'm new to stringing so any tips are helpful. How is the machine overall? I've heard nothing but good things about it from everyone, so thats encouraging.

From what I have seen, these are all about the same and are probably all made by the same company. I've had good luck with ordering tools from Tennis Warehouse, Alpha and ATS Sports. I also check the calibrator itself by suspending 50 lbs. of Olympic weights from it. These are based on a spring mechanism, they can also lose tension and not measure correctly.
