Hi,
I just did my first string job on a racquetball racquet and it was as easy as my tennis racquet to string. However, some of the racquets, I understand, the strings go through the handle and on the E-force, especially, I once thought I read, where you may need a special tool to stirng it properly. Anyone here that strings RB racquets and can comment on the different racquets and the difference in how it and tennis racquets are strung? Just curious at this stage, as I may buy a new and rather expensive raquet in the future. Suggestions for a type, brand, of RB racquet. In tennis I use the Roger Federer K Factor and N Tour six one 90 sq. in. head. It feels like an extension of my arm. I have not felt an RB racquet that gives me the same felling, so I just may have to go by the looks of the racquet as I do not want to have to do the mail thing to demo several racquets, and there are no stores that carry many player racquets that you can demo locally. One I like the looks of is the Ektelon "Gonzalez" RG racket. About $130 at Racquetball Warehouse.

Thanks,
Cary

Hey cvbinrichmond,
The RG is a fine racquet and one of the easier to string but then I am sponsored by Ektelon. Liking the way a racquet looks can have a positive psycological effect but there is no way to know for sure if it is the best one without trying it out. There are great differences in the power of racquets and when coupled with different swings and speeds the combinations are astronomical. Usually players will allow you to check out their racquets in the court alone ,where it is not as likely to be broken as during a game. Don't worry about string it you be able to if only out of desperation.
