I am currently using a Head Liquidmetal Radical MP. I love it, but just thought maybe there is some new technology that I should try out. I could use a little bit more stability on volleys, but besides that I am very satisfied. I am asking for suggestions because I am trying to limit the number of rackets I need to demo. There are no tennis shops close to where I live, so I am going to have to pay for shipping for demos. Thanx for any advice you can give me.

The Head is a really great frame but it always is worth trying out others to find that little bit extra. The stability you seek probably will be found if you go to a slightly heavier racket, but then you might lose a bit of swing speed and mess up your game a bit. Use the Tennis Warehouse Racket Finder to see what else is out there with the same specs but just a little heavier. Most manufacturers have frames that fall into this general range (11.3 to 11.8 oz strung, mid 60s flex, 21 cm or so frame width, 27 inch, 3 to 6 points head light, ca. 330 swing weight). What seems to be a good fit on paper often never works as well in real life. You simply will have to try different ones out on the court to see what works for you. I have a Dunlop AG 300, Pro Kennex 5G, and Volkl DNX 9 that are now set up with virtually identical specs in all areas. On any given weekend I can pull any one out of the bag and play, but the Volkl always feels the best. Can't tell you why and maybe it is just the snappy orange color.....

Well, the obvious answer would be to go with the Head Microgel Radical, or MG Radical Pro.
I do agree with the Radicals being a little squirrely on volleys. The Dunlop 4G 300 is another new racket I like.
Some of the new Yonex sticks are also worth a try.
Wilson makes a bunch of rackets in a bunch of feels, weights, string patterns etc...
JP has it right however, I can recommend a bunch of decent frames, but in my opinion tennis rackets are a matter of personal feel and touch. Demo as many rackets in your spec range as possible. Also keep in mind as you are demoing rackets that these rackets play about as poorly as they will play. Usually they have cheap, old, dead, worn strings. So if you like the way it feels under those conditions just imagine how great it will feel with "YOUR" setup.
Good luck, and happy hunting.

I would check out the Wilson K-Factor FX Kobra Tour. It is 310 grams, 100 sq in head and around a 62 in stiffness. I have found it to be a great all court racquet.

The new Fischer Black Granite Line is damned good.
And the No tolerance guarantee is nice, too! ;-)

I’m in the market for a new racket too. I'm looking for a higher quality racket than the one I currently use... Friends have suggested everything from Prince to Head. More recently a discussion came up about a Babolat racket, is anyone familiar with their Y Line? Is it too new to really have fair reviews? Please lend your thoughts.

Hello,
I'm also planning to change my racquet, heavy rackets are much better I've played with my friends racket it was adding more power to shots!

Pro Kennex Kinetic SQ Limited or Volkl Powerbridge 4 if you're a Tweener like me. I also like the Babolat AeroPro Drive, but I'm not as young as I used to be and have some arm problems.
