I am in the process of "dusting off" an old BR-3 dropweight machine built by Associated Tennis Suppliers (before ATS). I am interested in retrofitting some of the parts and it seems that the ATS Super Stringer II and Gamma X-2 may be reasonable sources. One point of interest is the dimension of the beam on the turntable to which the racquet mounting clamps attach and slide along.
Any owners of Super Stringer IIs or Gamma X-2s able to provide dimensions of their beams so I'll know if I can use the newer support posts? Also, what size is the threaded support post pin that sticks up from the support posts?
Looks like I'm going to have to stick with the BR-3's tensioning method (rubber band surrounding a clutched wheel as it doesn't look like the diamond gripper jaws could fit.
thanks
