I'm looking for a decent quality stringer that I can pick up for between 200 and 300 bucks.

Thanks,

DH

There are a lot of Brand New drop weight stringers you can get for around $200. Check out your local Craigslist listings. I was considering a drop weight, but decided to get a crank, that I can upgrade to a Electric Tension Head in the future.

Yeah, I should be more specific. I know it will be difficult, but I'm looking for a crank as well... I know that if I get a drop weight I'll need to upgrade soon because of the amount of raquets I'll be stringing. Unforetunately, I've been on craigslist and the area that I'm in doesn't have any stringers for sale :(

There were half a dozen the first time I checked out my local listings, but I did not have the funds. Now that I have the funds, none within a reasonable range.

I don't know where you are located, but there is a smoking deal on a Eagnas Flex 940. The seller will not ship, but if you are within driving distance, it's worth the drive. I'm on the Left Coast, so it's too far from me and I don't know anyone in that area. PM me if you are near NY.

Thanks by the way for posting that site. I ran across a guy selling an Eagnas Flex 940 for $200, in SF. It looks just like the Alpha Axis Pro.

IMHO, I'd buy a used Eagnas crank, before buying a drop-weight Alpha or Gamma stringer.

Thanks for all the help folks, but I decided to buy a new Alpha Revo 4000. I posted a review of what I think in the Machines Review section, so if you're interested in my thoughts/opinions check it out. I will say that overall I'm very satisfied and for the price with a 5year warranty I figured I couldn't beat it.

Good luck to everyone else who's searching.
