Has anyone seen this or know how to cure this problem? I recently installed a replacement grip on a customer's Babolat Pure Drive. She wanted a banana yellow grip, and the Gamma Hi-Tech grip was all I could find to fit that bill. So I began the installation.
After I trimmed the excess and taped it up I noticed that there were these vertical indentations on the grip itself. It seems like when Gamma packages the grip they wrap it too tightly around the cardboard form keeper.
I'm hoping that the marks go away in a little bit now that it's laying flat on the handle of the racket, but I would like to know is there a better way to deal with this issue, or some kind of prep I can do to make the finished job look more professional?
