In the manual it says to clean my machine every so often with an alcohol solvent, like rubbing alcohol. is it ok to clean the clamps with it too? and how often?

I use alcohol and a toothbrush. I clean the clamps daily during heavy stringing periods. It only takes a few minutes and it keeps the clamping surface from getting any buildup imbedded in the clamp face.

Remember...it's attention to detail.
