hi BJ,

the machine is a no-label job i'm afraid......

.....the clamp is moulded to a 5cm long metal stalk, 12mm diameter, total height 10-12 cm..........

cheers,
James

Sounds like a swivle clamp. Is there a slight taper at the end of the shaft of the string clamp? Does it look like this?

no, no taper, straight as a die/dye (?)

ah whoops, looked it up on phrases.org, and that expression originates from the 'fair/trustworthy' sense of 'straight', (as dice (not dyes) generally are) rather than of plane......

Pictured is an Eagnas PN-1012, in Europe it's probably distributed by Pro's Pro. Here in the US they are $40 a piece.
