I never read autobiographies but I got "Open" as a gift and I could not put it down. The despair, self loathing, bitterness and hatred espoused by Agassi was mind blowing. I wish he went into more detail about his troubles with Donnay racquets but wow  this was a page turner. His comments on Becker alone would make the book worth purchasing.

Love him or hate him (I'm somewhere in the middle) this is a book that demands to be read.

I have received the book as a Christmas gift and I started reading it.

I have never been an Agassis's fan at all (I have never liked his way to play tennis, plus his look was terrible LOL) but he's a good kid.

It is definitely very interested, well written, easy to read. I read only 30 pages so far, but I'm liking it very much.

The way - at the very beginning - he describes the match against Marcos Baghdatis at the US Open is just great.

Highly recommended ;)

I received this as a birthday present in mid Feb of this year. I don't read a whole lot (aside from magazines and forums and such), but I too could not put this down. I was using any free time possible to read it and I finished it under 3 weeks. I never really was able to read for more than an hour or two everyday, but it was well worth it. Being an Agassi fan it was remarkable to see how much he loathed the game, but loved the competition. I can definitely relate to how he felt sometimes on the court and compared it to being on an island by yourself.

Great read and I will most likely read it again when I get it back from my in-laws :)

Also Highly Recommended

I also enjoyed the book. I think Agassi could have given much more personal feelings towards Becker and others. I think he held back somewhat. What I really enjoyed was his thoughts/feelings towards his father.

He really took it easy on Brooke...thought that was lame. He should have been more "open" regarding that twit ex-wife of his.
