I have four Tecnifibre 315 V02 racquets and two of them have developed a weird line between the two grommets at 12:00. It's a straight line going from the middle of one grommet to the middle of the other grommet. It is the paint peeling up so on one I flaked a bit of paint off to see if it was an actual crack but while I see some scratching (probably from my flaking the paint off) I don't see anything I would recognize as a crack. I banged the frame on my hand and listened for buzzing but nothing. It's what got me thinking about the inside posts on the stringing machine even though I've never cranked them down. Does it sound like it's just the paint peeling? Maybe cause I've been playing at night when it's been pretty damn cold? I treat my racquets like kings and they feel the same but in the back of my head I'm always thinking "are my frames cracked?"

Sounds like it is just the paint. You will know on the next restring if it is a crack dead at 12 o'clock.
I can't remember a frame breaking at that eaxact spot in my 40+ years of playing & stringing.

Yeah I had them sent to Tecnifibre and they said they were fine. Plus the shop owner who I bought them from said he'd also never seen racquets crack there and they've been re-strung twice since getting them back. Of course now that I'm satisfied they're not cracked I finally tried the Head Youtek Radical Pro and am trying to sell the Tecnifibres!
