H= Head. Top of the racquet (lenghtwise). Start counting from the middle, that will be 1 H.
T= Throat. Bottom, start couting from the middle that will be 1 T.

Normally racquets have an even number of grommets so that there will actually be two 1Ts and two 1Hs. Those would be the two middle grommets in the center position either at the head of throat of the racquet.

I can't speak for other stringers, but I think it may be a better idea to ask, given your racquet frame, what a good string (and string tension) for your particular needs is. In general:

More power comes from looser, thinner strings (although thinner strings also give you more control).

More control comes from tighter, thinner strings.

More durability comes from thicker strings. Also, Kevlar is more durable than Polyester which is more durrable than synthetic gut which is more durable than natural gut.

In my opinnion, the order of "playability" is exactly the opposite -although I play with kevlar because I generate my own power and control and am most interested in durability.

Hope that helps.

Just to further clarify

There will be two of each code, just think of zero as the middle, H as the head, T as the throat, and the numbers reflect how far from the middle the grommet is regardless of the direction.
