Hey fellas I've moved to a gated community in Hacienda Heights and it has two private courts that are well lit and recently resurfaced and I've never seen anyone use them but me so far. They told me you can play till 10:00 but I found out accidentally the lights do not go off till you turn them off so I've been out there till 11:00 sometimes working on my serve. My friends don't get out here very often so I'm hoping to find some more tennis homies.
My friends say I'm a 4.5 player. I like to say 5.0 ground strokes, 4.0 serve and 3.0 volleys but I enjoy training and playing matches and am very consistent so you will get a good workout and a good opportunity to work on your ground strokes. I'm not super snobby so as long as you can hit consistently and take tennis (but not yourself) seriously I would like to invite anyone from this forum (in the area or if you're visiting and looking for some tennis action) to my home courts to play.
Here's the only thing. I take tennis very seriously but not myself. So sometimes after tennis I'll invite you to my house for a beer or suggest sushi afterwards. I like to joke around a bit and have some fun and LOVE talking tennis equipment and shooting the sh*t. If that kind of thing bothers you then I'm probably not the kind of tennis partner you're looking for.
I also work in Burbank so I also am willing to play tennis at locations on my way home so basically any courts off the 210/5/10/60 work for me as well. I generally play twice on weekdays and once on the weekends.
If any of this sounds appealing (and seriously how can it not?) just PM me. This forum has been so rad and you guys have been helpful and friendly so I would be honored to play tennis with any of you.
