So I just picked up some of this Gamma TNT2 and the recommendation of the guy at Holabird Sports. I go to string my Prince ThunderLite starting by pulling the first mains and this stuff won't even let the bar drop on my drop weight stringer. Am I doing something wrong? Can someone help?

Thanks
Pat

The mains of the TNT2 Fusion Plus are made of Aramid which is a very inelastic material that hardly stretches during stringing. So you are not doing anything wrong. Just give the rod less way to drop down.

So if the bar only drops about 2 inches, then I am going to get the desired tension? You are right though, this stuff doesn't stretch an inch. I just didn't want to force it and end up breaking the racquet. The bar barely moves, it really doesn't even start to drop, it stay pretty close to vertical. If you figure the bar starts in the 11 o'clock position and when you drop it to apply tension, is supposed to stop in the 3 o'clock position...this bar may stop at between 12 and 1. If that makes any sense.

Yes I understand your problem. Here's two solutions:
Either give more string (insert "loosely" into the string gripper) or start dropping from an initial 1 or 2 o'clock position. You can do that by putting the bar way down (let's say 5 o'clock), then inserting the string, holding the gripper in place while raising the bar to the 2 o'clock position, and then dropping the bar to tension the string.
