How many days after stringing (warranty against breakage or other thing) do you accept a string job back?
Thanks

Hi Andtapes,
i think you should make an individual decision depending on the customer and the situation.
You can easily play 6 hours of Tennis in 2-3 Days and some strings won't last that long.
If the string breaks after just a few days in an "unusual" place (for example near the frame) you can think about a free string job.
Or you charge just the string costs when in doubt.
Bye
In fact it happens quite frequently that monofilaments break near the frame. This has nothing to do with a bad string job. This is because of the unusually high stress on the string if the ball impact is near the frame, plus the monofilament's weakness to shear forces.
So I would tell this to every customer and not accept any complaints about the string breaking at a miss-hit. He/she might not want to understand this; in that case please refer to the stringforum. ;)

@Joe
If you want to keep this customer you should be a little more obliging...
Of course it's possible that a string breaks near the frame without any error on the part of the stringer but it's the typical situation for a player to think that this was a bad stringing job.
So if it happens once you can tell your customer about this possible miss-hit but still give him a free restring or just charge the string costs.
Next time he may be aware that you will charge him the full price...
Bye
