Hey Dogboy,

Lay back man, otherwise nobody will believe you either, keep it cool, just give us the idea that there's some positive feedback from yours players, and nobody gets upset and offended. (Thanks for giving it a go, but there are a few other believers, Kwick (of course) but also Eric, Dan and GG who was was quite positive, I think Hans from Belgium also likes it as well. We may not count on 1% yet, but it's a start, only 99.5% left to convince, :D :D

Gut in the mains with a thinner (GA18 is super) poly or mono in the crosses can be very good indeed. Always string the crosses at +2kgs on the tension of the mains. You won't get the same durability that you can get with the poly in the mains, but, it will last at least twice as long as a full gut restring and play with better control and more punch. (Ask Roger, he has Gut GA16 in the mains and Alu Power GA17 in the crosses, and I believe he also strings the crosses at +2kgs). ;)

I'm pleased that Snakehand has overcome his problems, I didn't think that it would be too difficult, and as you say, it's amazing that with so little changes that the results are so remarkable. I have been seeing this almost every day for years, and I still find it hard to believe, so it is normal that most other stringers will find it hard to believe as well. :(

As you pointed out, you have nothing to lose, just try out my method once, then you can see for yourself, I can't remember a single person saying that he tried it and regretted having done so . . . :p

Cheers,
JC
