Hi all, I just had a bad experience dealing with this seller.
I saw his post for an I Prestige Paintjob PT57A. The seller stated that the i Prestige MP paint job was a condition 8 racquet. According to me, if a racquet is condition 8, it must in very good condition. Of course you will find some marks due to usage but the marks must not be that large deep or something severe.
The seller ask $300AUD(around $320USD I paid) for it and I transferred the money to him the first thing after I confirmed with him. I didn’t ask him to provide more pictures because I trust him on his racquet condition. After I received the racquet(it was packed quite well), I found at both sides of the racquet there is a very deep paint chip due to usage the paint chips are about 5 cm long and already deep to the graphite layer. The first thing I can imagine is the previous owner must use this racquet quite badly. The racquet comes with a new grommet so some part of the paint chip is hidden and cannot be seen in the pics the seller provided. To be honest, I will only rate it condition 6 or even lower than that if this is my own racquet. If I know the condition of the racquet is such like this, definitely I won’t buy it from him.

Then I wrote to the seller to ask whether he knew this or not, he said to me he paid even more for it and he replaced the original grommet set so the price is fair. I just can’t understand because this is none of my business. Even if he got it for free and try to sell it for $300 I still would like to have it. The truth is I paid rapidly what he asked for without any delay but he sent me a condition 6 racquet instead of condition 8 racquet which he stated it was.

I offer the seller to refund me $50 since it is not that economic to ship it back to Australia. Then the seller disappeared and never replied my email again.

I purchased many racquets from UK, Sweden, US, New Zealand and China also. I have many good references on this board as well as TT. I always pay without any question once I confirmed the order and all the previous sellers are quite nice guys and they are trustworthy. But just not for this one.

Here I really don’t recommend this seller darn76 to you. He seems like to overrate his racquet and trying to sell them at high price.

Regards

Kylin

Firstly you asked for a $50 refund, not $150. Secondly to which I did reply and informed you you the price of the racquet was a fair price and in fact you paid less for the racquet than I did.

This is the email you sent to me dated 26 September 2011

I don't want to be a bad ass or something like that.

Here I offer a solution.

You refund me $50 either in AUD or USD. I think it is pretty fair and I'd like to have that racquet for $250 AUD since it is rare. I will leave you excellent feedback for this deal on SF after that.

Hi, Darren

> I said I am quite satisfied with the condition and price for the LM paint PT630. If you can remember I didn't bargain with you for the price but paid very rapidly because I think the price you asked for them is fair enough.
>
> At that time, I think the I Prestige MP paint PT630 was a condition 8 racquet as you mentioned in one of your replies to a SF member. But when I received the racquet, there are several large area paint chips due to normal usage. The paint chips has already deep reach to the graphite layer. Actually this is condition 6 or 6.5 according to common sense. I know judging a racquet condition is an objective thing but we should follow the guidance. I didn't ask for the additional pics of it and paid right away because I trust every of your words.

Here is my reply

Thanks for the email.

You got the racquets for less than I got them for. I sold them because I am saving to take my girlfriend to California on holiday.

Based on what I paid for them the price was fair.

As you can all see he only asked for $50 and I did reply to him.
