I have been asked to string acouple of badminton raquets ,apart from being more fiddely is there any thing i should be careful of any help would be great.

The tension range on these is very low comparted to other racquets so your machine needs to be able to accomodate that. You should recalibrate your machine at around 20 lbs. before starting the job. Also, some stringers recommend doing all of the threading and weaving off of the machine.

thanks ive strung them now hardest part was getting clamps right. the strings seem so thin.

Sion, what Gaines has said about the calibration is good practice. Having checked the link Gaines has posted I wouldn't recommend stringing a badminton rqt using the complete threading and weaving off the machine. If you follow the instructions through it even shows the cardinal sin of using the tension head of the machine to tighten the tie-off knots. Badminton rqts although fiddley can be strung the same way as any rqt. I string about 10 badminton rqts a week and use the same basic techniques as for tennis and squash. It still only takes me about 20 mins per badminton rqt. Of course it helps that all badmintons rqts have pretty much the same string pattern.
