Right now, the real "thing" in synthetics is actually Tecnifibre X-One Biphase. Its supposedly the best next to gut. I have a racquet waiting to be strung with it.

For what it's worth, Gamma Professional gets very high ratings on the USRSA string guide.

NXT is soft, but has very low durability and its tension maintenance isn't the best.

FWIW: i just recently broke a TNT pro plus 17G strung at 66lbs, this racquet was strung in 1998. Just put in a a wilson reaction 16G at 63 lbs and it didnt feel any better. But my new stick, a Flexpoint Radical OS has the NXT tour in it, but i havent hit with it yet.
