Problem with frame on Prince racket

Hi All

I have a prince racket from a customer at the top of the frame the holes in the frame have worn and is giving a rough edge and causing the strings to repeatedly break at the top of racket on grommet strip. the grommet strip is in good condition, it is the rubbing of the strings against the rough frame im thinking?

My two thoughts are files the frame smooth or put a little insulation tape over the rough areas.
Can anyone help, has anyone else experienced this problem?

I am having the same issue stringing without the grommets at the top and bottom. I just posted basically the same question. I am thinking about just stringing the top and bottom with the grommets and keeping the Oports open. I hope I get some education before I find out the expensive way

When we run into these problems, which we usually do with the Prince racquets with O Ports, we use tubing....a lot of tubing. It will save your string.
