Alpha Revo 3000

Alpha Revo 3000

Evaluations of the Alpha Revo 3000:

Jason, May 14, 2001:

Place of purchase: New Tech Tennis

   Date of purchase: 07/1999

   Warranty: 5 years

   Price: $649

   Equipment:

6 point mounting, 2 fixed clamps, tabletop spring tension machine.

   Experiences:

I have the same 360 degree problem that Sam (see his posting) has. The stringer won't allow 360 degree racquet rotation with all racquets - only some. Otherwise, the machine is solid. All that needs to be added to allow 360 degree racquet rotation is another (large) washer or two, which can be easily supplied by Alpha, if they cared enough. I haven't gotten around to machining one yet. I'm thinking about getting a floor model because of stability purposes. The Revo 3000 has more of a tendency to slide around on a tabletop (lack of rubber pads on the bottom - plastic feet instead).

Gary, July 31, 2001:

Place of purchase: New Tech Tennis

   Date of purchase: 06/2001

   Warranty: 5 years

   Price: $639

   Equipment:

tabletop, crank, 6 point support, dual action diamond dusted fixed clamps, awl, needle nose pliers, cutter, 8 sets of strings, several grips, and a $50 discount on strings and grips

   Experiences:

Very solid machine and I would recommend it to anyone. I have yet to experience the problem with the 360 degree rotation. I was considering the ML 100 but decided to go with the Revo because it was cheaper and many people recommended it. I have never strung before and now I am stringing like a pro, and it is because of this machine. It's also nice to show off to your buddies.

John Henderson, May 22, 2002:

Place of purchase: New Tech Tennis

   Date of purchase: 04/2002

   Warranty: 5 years

   Price: $629

   Equipment:

tabletop, crank, 6 point support, 2 fixed clamps

   Experiences:

This machine is rock solid. I've strung about 40 racquets in the past 30 days. I've had no problems and Greg at Newtech has been very helpful. You've got a cool website.
