Evaluations of the Eagnas Combo 3800:
|
lostinamerica, August 23, 2007:
Place of purchase: Eagnas
Date of purchase: 2007
Warranty: 5 years
Price: $759
Equipment: Electronic rotational tensioner, 2 fixed swivel clamps, upright, 6 mounting points, digital LCD readout
Experiences: The machine is excellent. It is heavy but it works well. It came calibrated with no issues. For the price, I
can't imagine a better professional stringing machine. The mounting system holds the racket well but it does partially block some holes.
It is a constant pull with a pre-stretch function. It has a digital tension readout. I was told it is very similar to the Alpha Revolution.

Place of purchase: N/A
Date of purchase: 08/2008
Warranty: 1 year
Price: $704
Equipment: Electronic constant pull tensioner with selection for extra pull for knot tying, 5% prestretch, 10% prestretch, fast pull, medium pull, or special string (slow pull for gut). Has six point fixing clamps which keep the racquet properly secured throughout the stringing process. Spring loaded clamping system at base, stainless steel string clamps. Machine rests on stand (provided). All tools included - needle nose pliers, string cutter, awl, allen wrenches, etc.
Experiences: Delivery time was approximately 1 week. Assembly was completed in less than 30 minutes and instructions supplied for assembly and operation were complete and thorough. Accuracy of machine was checked with tension meter and it was dead on at 60 lbs., 50 lbs. and 70 lbs. Six point fixing properly secures racquet while stringing and string clamps are very high quality and hold string very well without unnecessarily crimping string. I have strung approximately 30 racquets with the machine and have been very satisfied with the results. I previously used an ATS Sports dropweight machine and although the ATS is a great starter machine, I have no regrets moving up to the Eagnas Combo 3800 and am very satisfied thus far....if anything changes, I will repost accordingly.
