Played on carpet courts in UK spring/summer weather with Dunlop Fort balls. Spin was excellent; top spin shots kicked visibly and slice bit in to the court, staying low. This string is fairly low powered so it's only really suitable for those with fast, developed strokes. The amount of top spin that I was able to generate meant that I always had good control over the ball. Feel on volleys was surprisingly good for a polyester string. I preferred hitting spin serves to flat serves with Blue Gear, for some reason I had difficulty gaining control over my flat serve with this string so it lacked consistency. Tension maintenance was quite poor, the tension seemed to drop noticeably even after the first session meaning that this string will only be truly enjoyed by people who restring every time they play or break a lot of strings.
I would recommend this string to baseline and all-court players who play at an advanced level and have good access to restringing. |

Test setup was: Pro Supex Blue Gear 17 @ 53 lbs. / Gosen OG-Sheep Micro 17 @ 55 lbs.
Tension Stability: No tension drop was noticed.
String Movement: No string movement.
Time to Break: 4 hours. String broke at grommet on clean hit.
Groundstrokes: Can take full swings without having the ball sail long. Typical rally shots had a low net clearance when hit with topspin. Slice shots tended to have a moderate net clearance.
Volleys: Volleys were mediocre with this string. Placement was great, but pace was lacking.
Serves: Serves were great with this string. Placement was better than my normal setup (Ashaway Kevlar 18/Gosen OG-Sheep Micro 17), and pace was there as well.
Setup Recommended for: No one. This string is great but it is to prone to shank snapping for me to recommend it.
Other Notes: Breaks on mishits easy. Two of the four times I have used this string that is how it broke. The other two times it broke at the grommet on a clean hit (even with a brand new grommet set). The longest this string has lasted me is 4 hours and shortest is 2 hours which is unacceptable for a poly. |

You can generate great spin with this string, while getting great control. This string has a lot of texture which really helps to grip the ball. This makes it easy to change directions on shots and generate heavy topspin. The string is fairly durable (like most polys) but the tension loss will make you want to tear it out after 2-4 weeks if you do not break it.
Great string for the price. If you are a person who does not seem to notice tension loss the string will last for a long while. |

| Blue Gear is a heavy textured string which really helps to grip the ball and generate topspin. Tension stability is probably better with MSV Focus Hex. |
