Basically a good string. I cannot criticize any hard facts. However I had the impression that the string scattered a lot. For me it does not make any sense that the string loses control through its hexagonal profile - but I did have this impression...
That's why I prefer the round version of this string. |

When I can find a deal on 1.25 mm gut, I prefer to use the gut in the mains and MSV Focus Hex 1.18 mm in the crosses. But for a poly only setup, you can't go wrong with the 1.10 mm!

For 1 set Luxilon Timo 1.10, you can have 2 sets of the MSV. The MSV, in my opinion, is a better string - softer but offering a crisp controlled string that offers surprising durability. It also comes in 3 colors.

I've noticed a side-effect of the excellent bite these strings have... they strip the fuzz off the balls at a very accelerated rate. Toward the end of some longer matches, everything wants to sail long when there's no fuzz left for the strings to catch on. Some people might attribute this to tension loss, but I see the problem go away after opening a fresh can.

Played with Prince Topspin Plus on a Pro Staff 6.1 Classic for several years before getting fed up with the terrible durability and tension stability. The MSV Focus-HEX strings completely changed the sound of the racquet and have much better tension stability and durability without losing too much comfort.
