I strung it 2 lbs lower than other polys (e.g. Luxilon Adrenaline, Tecnifibre Pro RedCode), but it felt significantly stiffer. So it's not recommendable if you have a sensitive arm. But control is perfect and even if you don't hit 100% precisely in the sweetspot, you still have good precision in your shots. Feel is also surprisingly good. Spin potential was alright.
Worth a try if you are looking for control. I'm very happy with this string! |

| I played a Luxilon Adrenaline to compare with. The Adrenaline seems significantly softer and more powerful. However I would prefer the Alu Power any time due to its excellent control. If it just wasn't that expensive. I'll monitor the durability and might use it in my league matches. For coaching it's too expensive. |

| Same level of power and control compared to the rough version. However there is less spin potential. On the other hand, it lasts longer. Comfort is average I would say. |

No problems during stringing. Played for 2 hours indoors on rebound ace, 2 hours outdoors on clay on a rainy day, and another 2 hours outdoors on clay during sunny weather. I liked the string better on clay because I was able to put a lot of pressure on my opponents.
During testing I kept telling myself "You are playing the ALU POWER - if you aren't successful yet, you will never be". Somehow that increased my confidence. I hope this feeling will last for a while... |

I don't think it's fair to compare the Alu Power with the Cyber Flash since the Alu Power is 4 times as expensive.
A better comparison would be with its brother Alu Power Rough. I must say I prefer the Alu Power. For my playing style there is hardly any difference in spin. On the other hand, the Alu Power provides a bit better control and power. If you have the budget, this is an almost perfect poly. You can use it in the full string bed if your arm can take it. Should be no problem if you have a good technique. If you don't hit in the center most of the time, I'd suggest to hybrid it with a multifilament. |

Tension Stability: A minor drop in tension was noticed around 2 hours, and a major drop was noticed around 8 hours. The strings lost some control after 2 hours, and became moderately difficult to control around 8 hours.
String Movement: No string movement.
Time to Break (hrs.): String was cut out at 10.5 hours, but had about 7 hours left (1 hr light groundstrokes, 1 hr moderate groundstrokes, 4.25 hr hard groundstrokes, 0.5 hr hard serves and returns, 1 hr moderate singles, 1.75 hr hard singles, 1 hr moderate doubles).
Groundstrokes: No adjustments needed to be made to my groundstrokes. Typical topspin rally shots had a moderate net clearance. Slices were easy to keep low over the net and could be placed where I wanted them.
Volleys: Volleys were above average with this string. Adequate pace could be put on them and they were easy to place.
Serves: Serves were average with this string.
Setup Recommended for: Anyone who has a solid game, the money to restring every time they play, and can deal with a stiff poly.
Other Notes: This is the first string I can say I like better than my normal setup (for the first outing with it). After the initial tension drop, these strings become just your average poly. |
