Tested on hard courts. This string is okay but not worth the price. Durability is good, it lasted me a month. Spin is incredible.
Serves kick extremely hard. |

This string is awesome! To start, I really don't like playing with poly strings, it's just like I need them, otherwise there will be a lot of $$$ each month restringing my racquets. I have tried a few Babolat poly strings last year (Pro Hurricane and Duralast), but Luxilon Big Banger Alu Power 16L was my definitive choice. I really recommend it for string breakers who still wanna keep power and spin. Luxilon is definitively in a different level when compared to other poly manufacturers. I've found only two problems with Alu Power: sometimes it hurts my arm and it seems to be a bit heavy - you can feel the weight difference in the racquet's head when compared to synthetic gut strings. Anyway, Alu Power is my string of choice. Don't forget: always use Alu Power at 10% less tension than you normally use with other strings (including other polys). Normally I would play with 60-61 lbs, but Luxilon must stay at 55 maximum.
Another comment: this string seems to lose tension just as quickly as any other poly string. I can play three to four games and the string feels great, but after that, I need to re-adapt my game and somewhat reduce the stroke power to compensate the loss of tension. |

First of all, this is a great string. I honestly do believe that Luxilon has changed the way the game of tennis is being played.
To the ratings... I always play on hard court because I live in sunny Southern California and around this time it gets pretty hot (summer time). The string maintains tension very very well in the hot weather. The air condition is pretty dry, very usual for SoCal and I have to say that it is great that the string doesn't move during play (sign of great tension retainment). |

| Creates incredible power on hard strokes, but loses its characteristics quite fast. It has the best playability only shortly after stringing. Power is only released when you hit exactly in the sweetspot. If that is the case, you get very good control over the power. |

The Signum Pro Poly Plasma, Topspin Cyber Flash, MSV Focus Hex, Luxilon Big Banger Alu Power, Pacific Force 17 all play alike.
If the price wasn't so high, I would recommend the Alu Power, but the little difference to the other strings does not justify for that. |
