Played in a Wilson H19 370/315. For me, the string is very demanding on the right efforts of stretching. 18/17 and 17/16 only suitable for me on my racquets.
For me it is a string for the competitions as just a one 3 sets match strings lose their shape, become round and lose their best properties.
With the right string tension strings give a good feeling of the ball, excellent power and amazing spin. It's very good for my offensive game. My favorite string for competitions. |

Normal stringing behavior for a poly.
Strung at 25 kg to increase power. I had previously played this string indoors with Dunlop balls and had been very happy. Excellent precision, sufficient power, and perfect control for my taste. I've played a lot of polys and the Tornado is the best fit for my Prestige so far. I just feel most confident with it. Although the Luxilon Big Banger Alu Power is still one of my favorites, the Tornado provides better grip on the ball and better precision. While the Tornado provides less power than the Alu Power, its power is still sufficient to generate decent ball speed.
Outdoors on clay court the Tornado was impressive as well. Easy to hit extreme topspin but also fast flat strokes. Excellent on angle shots. Great spin potential. All serve variants can be hit without problems. I'm really happy with this string. Comfort could be a bit better though.
If you are looking for a string with great spin potential that also allows for powerful flat strokes with perfect control, you should definitely test the Tornado! |
