Packing an uber-powerful punch, this string has almost no control whatsoever even at 55 pounds. The ball seems to slip right off the stringbed although it offers decent spin. It's hard to generate heavily-topspun groundies when there's so little control and so much raw power. The feel is definitely unique and it feels good bombing down big serves with RPM. Possibly it's a gauge issue, 16 is more critically acclaimed, maybe thinner gauges of RPM are just too springy and slippery for serious play. The tension retention properties of this string are simply ABYSMAL.

From a power and spin perspective you can easily get addicted to this string. However if you play 4 to 10 hours of tennis per week you'll find yourself sore as it is hard on the arm. Comfort and feel is the issue here but pure power and spin it's a winner.

I strung 2 lbs less than Alu Power since several reviews indicated that this string is low-powered.

This string provides superb spin and control. Tension stability is also good and it maintains its characteristics for a long time. Feel is much better compared to many other polys, reminded me a bit of the Pro Line 2, but with much better spin and control (especially on fast swings).
Power is certainly average but it allows you to swing even faster compared to the Alu Power for example.

I think this string is perfect for players who hit with heavy spin.

These strings are hard to compare because they provide very different feel. The RPM Blast feels softer and provides better spin while the Alu Power provides better power and feels stiffer. When strung a bit lower, the RPM Blast will provide a bit more power with great feel and added spin.

Strung my racquet with full bed of RPM Blast 1.25, at the tension of 25 kg (55 lbs). Used RacquetTune app to measure tension and stiffness ratings, immediately after stringing. The sound analysis yielded 25.6 kg for stiffness, while dynamic tension reading was 39.5 points.

Then I left the racquet in the bag for 2 days, to let the tension settle down. Next RacquetTune readout was 24.5 kg and DT 37.4, after 24h of resting.

Then I playtested the racquet parallelly with my Wilson BLX Pro Open, strung with PHT 17 @ 25 kg. First impression was that RPM Blast had a noticeable and loud "pop sound" on sweet spot hits - almost like distant gun shot, really cool!

Power of my shots was moderate, even with Pure Drive, no problem with controlling depth. Spin potential was clearly there, but didn't impress (maybe I had slightly unrealistic expectations regarding spin, due to all the hype that surrounds RPM Blast).

I have to say that RPM Blast excelled at high pace and really heavy hits. This is clearly not a string for recreational players, I guess it is more suitable for advanced, competitive ball-smashers, which I am not.

Regarding comfort, I did not experience wrist or elbow issues in the first 7-8 hours of playing, but soon after that, the racquet started losing power and become unpleasantly harsh, particularly to my arm.

RacquetTune readings revealed minimal tension loss after subsequent hitting sessions (which confirmed my subjective impression is that string completely lost its elasticity).

However, in the first 6-8 hours of playing, RPM Blast performed truly nice. I might try slightly lower tension (22-23kg) next time, or hybrid it with X-One Biphase in the mains.
