String MSV Focus - HEX® 1.10

Absolute Rating Durability Power Control Feel Comfort Spin Tension Stability

Even though the durability of 4 hours on clay is not sufficient for me, it is very good for a 1.10 mm string. A Polyfibre 1.10 lasts me only 1 hour, but is also more elastic. I would recommend combining the 1.10 main string with a 1.25 mm multifilament (e.g. Pro's Pro Pulse) cross. This way the strings will last at least 10 hours and you will still have the unique touch and sound of a 1.10 mm string. MSV also offers a hybrid with the Hex in the mains.

Since the Isospeed Professional was voted String of the Year 2007 on this site I compared the X-One Biphase to the Isospeed Professional in parallel. Both strings were strung on the same day at identical tension. I used both strings alternatingly. The Tecnifibre is much better in all aspects, I guess it was not voted due to its high price.

I have compared this string to the Tecnifibre X-One Biphase 1.24. Both strings played great in the beginning, but after 2 days the Isospeed had lost lots of tension and felt dead. I am wondering how Isospeed can produce a pre-stretched string that loses that much tension (the Energetic is much better in this regard). Everyone who has voted for the Isospeed in the past survey should try the TF. It's really the best string. Unfortunately twice as expensive on the other hand.
