Used in the mains in combination with Big Banger Ace crosses.
Great mix of power and control. Great tension stability. I can use it for 10 to 12 hours without breaking or losing too much tension. I liked the feel and especially the control much better than with the hybrid Big Banger Ace / Alu Power Rough. |

Great combo. Nice feedback and great durability and tension stability.
I will hybrid it again with the Alu Power Rough. But it will remain my favorite for the winter. |

Unfortunately I could not extensively test this string, since I could not continue playing with the K Pro Tour. Every time I tried to hit with this racquet again it hurt my arm extremely. So sorry for the short report. :(
Strung on a Pacific String Digital 700 at 22.5 kp without problems. The string got a bit stiff towards the end, but nothing to worry about.

After 0.5 hours of play: 28
Due to severe arm problems I could only hit for 30 minutes. Nevertheless here my impressions:
The string provides a nice solid feedback. Control seemed alright and power was well balanced. There's no wear so I guess it's a durable string. Spin potential was rather average. |

Great poly with excellent tension maintenance and durability.
It provides great control, though it seems a bit spongy during play. Nice touch. My current favorite.
Nevertheless I'll do a direct comparison with the Alu Power Rough soon. |

No problems during stringing, however the string needs to be pre-stretched.
I found the tension stability to be quite good.
When strung in mains and crosses, the string lasted me around 7-8 hours, same level as the Alu Power. If used in the mains only, it won't survive one hour.

The string needs to be pre-stretched prior to stringing to take away some of the recoil memory.
Strung 2 lbs higher than usual.
Typically for natural gut, the tension stability was excellent. All playing characteristics were on a high level.
Not suitable for heavy spinners since the string lacks some ball bite and it would also break quite quickly.
Feel and comfort were really amazing! :) |

No problems during stringing.
I used to play this string back in my junior days and I thought: Why not try it again.
Now I know where my arm problems had their origin: After one hour of play my arm hurt really badly.
The sweetspot is very small, and hits outside the sweetspot give a lot of shock and are low powered. If you hit precisely, power and control are excellent. Spin is great, and durability and tension stability are excellent, that's what I remember. |

Stringing was no problem. Crosses were easy to pull due to the smooth surface.
The racquet rested for about 36 hours after stringing and lost some tension during this period (not measured, but estimated by pressing on the stringbed).
Played outdoors on clay at temperatures around 26°C with Babolat VS balls.
The string played nice after a short adaptation period. However the feedback was unusually spongy and wire-like which I didn't like. The string provides decent power (which may be due to the tension loss) but control was still good. Spin potential was above average, I really enjoyed spinning sharp angles. The string grabbed the ball really well.
Unfortunately the strings broke after around 2.5 hours of play which is really poor for my experience. For example, a Big Banger Alu Power lasts me 8 to 10 hours.
Overall I'm not fully satisfied because of the feel and the lack of tension stability and durability. On the other hand, the string provided sufficient control, lots of power, and better than average spin. |

| Absolutely great string, definitely worth the price. Unfortunately it does not last too long, but on the other hand it keeps its positive characteristics until the end. It has even better grip on the ball than the normal Alu Power. Just great! |
