Solid string with almost no drawbacks.
Comes off the stringer rather soft and plays nice. You can feel the dwell time. Solid feel and good comfort.
Durability is acceptable with a total of 3 hours.
But it does not have anything in common with the Alu Power - different color, different playing characteristics, different string. I cannot confirm what the previous testers wrote. Rather plays like a Topspin Cyber Flash.

I also tried the Rough version but it did not provide the added spin I was hoping for, so I prefer the round version.
Simply a great string with excellent feedback on impact. Really solid with a big sweet spot. Great control.
Possibly my new standard string for the upcoming season.
Reel price is affordable IMHO.
Unfortunately the 1.25 does not last too long, but I can use the 1.30 version.

Quite close to the original (yellow) Competition but the latter lasts longer, is more powerful, feels crisper but still provides touch.
Overall the pearl variant does not reach up to the yellow variant.

Although I like the color somehow, neither the pearl nor the vanilla versions reach up to the original yellow Competition. I would even dare to say that the vanilla version is a totally different string.
It feels slightly spongy in the sweetspot, and it lacked power. Control was good, spin was excellent. Somehow I lacked confidence with this string due to the spongy feedback.
Maybe this was just a prototype so I'm curious if it will hit the market at all. For me it is no alternative to the yellow Competition.

Played the black variant. After missing some spin potential in the red Pro Line II, I found improved spin with the black version. Additionally, feedback was nice and soft while control was still maintained. It was not too powerful but absolutely sufficient.
I'd prefer the black version over the red version.

Quite interesting string which convinces in the feel, touch and comfort departments. Power is good, control is OK. Unfortunately it lacks spin potential.
After a few hits there is some string movement and the cross strings pick up felt from the balls.
I stuck to the tension recommendation found on the package.
Would recommend this hybrid to players with arm problems.
Unfortunately this is not for me due to the lack of spin and control.

Since the previous string from Xtennis that I tried came off the stringer rather stiff, I strung this one lower than usual. 24 kg on my Blade 93 was good - above that tension it would have felt like a board.
At this tension, the string played pretty well. Medium power, poor comfort, but spin potential and control were its highlights.
Good average string without specific strengths.

Test Conditions Tension Racquet
55/55 lbs Wilson BLX Blade 93 Amplifeel (MS, 18/20)

 (2.75 hrs.)
The Pro Line III Rough was a real highlight. Sweetspot was quite big and the string provided great feedback. Felt comfortable from the start. The profile wore smooth in the center after around 2 hours of play, but that's not dramatic. The string provided good control and power at the same time. Unfortunately the durability was not so good (maybe because I tried it on clay?).
Overall I really liked this string. If the reel price is not out of this world, this could be my go-to string for the season.
Thanks to Kirschbaum for the sample!

 (2 hrs.) n.a.
The Culex Squarestring had only one strength in my opinion - spin. The other characteristics were rather disappointing. Compared to other strings at the same tension, the Culex Squarestring felt surprisingly stiff. The sweetspot was extremely small, so slightly off-center hits caused lots of vibrations and comfort was poor. It felt like I was "not eligible" for this string in terms of player level, although I would say I am a solid tennis player.
Durability of 2 hours indoors was disappointing too.

Test Conditions Tension Racquet

 (2.5 hrs.) n.a.
For a round string the Ferox Roundstring provided enormous spin - more spin is not possible with a round string. The other categories were only average. Sweetspot was rather small, power was moderate and many balls went short. I used my standard tension for polys, so I think it's a fair test.
Durability was below average.
Unfortunately this string did not convince me. The Cyber Flash remains my favorite string from Topspin.
