After switching to the Head Youtek Prestige MP these are the first reviews with this frame.
The WeissCannon Scorpion was already on the frame at the tension stated above.
The string provided very good control and good spin. I liked the balanced characteristics of the string. However the control really stood out. |

I enjoyed hitting with the Tornado. Very good power and control. Unfortunately its profile wore rather quickly so basically the Tornado turned into a Hyperion in some areas.
Feel on impact was good but not extraordinary.
Overall a nice blend of great characteristics. Even with the texture being worn, the Tornado 1.23 was quite thin, so spin potential was still there.
With increasing playing time, strings started to move. |

This string exceeded my expectations.
It played very nice from the beginning with incredible control yet good power. Spin was great, I did not have any problems with that. Nice feel on the volleys. Excellent tension stability, which was actually needed because the string lasted longer than any other poly I've played within the past 2 years (slightly more than 9 hours!). This is my new record for a poly and it makes me even happier.
Overall a great allround string with great playability.
The only downside is that you can't get it from Germany. The price however is very good compared to the top German brands.
This was THE surprise since a long time for me. |

No problems during stringing. The profile looks quite interesting, probably triangular.
This black string leaves black marks on the balls, which I didn't mind however.
I must say I enjoyed this string a lot.
I was surprised by the great balance of power, control, stiffness and comfort. From my experience stiff strings provide better control than softer strings. Thus I was surprised by the great control because the string did not seem so stiff. It's perfectly balanced. Due to its unique profile (sometimes it seemed round) it gave great spin potential on kick serve, slice, and topspin.
I really enjoyed the string throughout its lifetime of 5.5 hours. I did not detect any change in playing characteristics. After this period the string broke in the center of the stringbed, and it had significant notches on several other locations. I'm very happy with the durability of 5.5 for my style of play.
Overall this is an amazing new string with great all around performance (the last one of this type was the Topspin Cyber Flash).
Congrats to the manufacturer! And thanks for the test opportunity! |

For me Blindtest String13A 1.25 and String13B 1.25 were the same string but with a different profile. The profile of the 13B strongly reminds me of the Signum Pro Tornado, Topspin Cyber Black, or MSV Hepta-Twist. However I think it's just the twisted version of the Blindtest String13A. Playing characteristics were equal except that the 13B provided a bit more spin due to the twisted structure.
Blindtest String13A 1.25 is a great all around string, and the String13B is a clay court version of it, targeted to heavy topspin players.
I was definitely surprised by the good result from this blind test. Congrats to the unknown manufacturer! |

| The string has good durability despite the thin gauge. It provides superb power, however there is lots of string movement on topspin strokes. Due to the string movement and the average control I cut out the string after 3 hours of play before playing an important match. I just did not feel confident with this string. |

I enjoyed this string! Nice power and great feel on impact. It lacks some control, but this is clearly a power string. The 1.25 mm gauge had good spin potential and I felt comfortable overall with this string. The only thing that I found annoying was the string movement which was typical for a nylon string. I had to straighten the strings after each point.
I cannot rate the durability and tension stability because the string broke over night at the bottom grommet of an outer main. I had the same problem with another string a few weeks ago, but it does not happen with every string. I will probably exchange the grommets soon. |

The string has a unique brown-golden color and a unique profile. The texture reminded me of the SuperString Extreme Turbo Stiff V6 (gear shaped cross-section).
Stringing was typical for a poly.
My first impression on the court was good because I enjoyed the total control that the string provided. Power was just acceptable but that's no wonder when you look at the high level of control. Spin potential was great on topspin and slice.
The string felt very stiff and sometimes it felt like a board. Touch was not so good and the string lacked comfort. Stiffness was especially evident on volleys and I felt some pain in my lower arm. Don't know if that would have developed to a serious issue if I had continued to play this string. After around one hour of play the string broke in the center of the stringbed. The other mains showed significant notching, so I don't think it was a stringing mistake.
I'm quite disappointed with the durability, considering it's dedicated to clay court play. Since it probably lasts even less on clay court than indoors on carpet, I would not take the risk and use this on clay court. Additionally except for the good control the string did not have any special strenghts. |

The M2 Plus 130 was THE surprise for me among the latest strings I've tried.
Like the Tecnifibre X.Code, this string is marketed as a mix of monofilament and multifilament. And indeed the soft feedback makes this string something special.
It provides the comfort, feel, and power of a multifilament, combined with the positive characteristics of a poly: no string movement, good control, good durability.
This string has a special touch. After 3.5 hours it broke already. It had a good balance of power and control. Great string overall, however not durable enough for hard hitters, and it comes at the typical price level of a Luxilon string. |

I've tested the red version of this string for a second time now and changed my point of view a bit.
Already during the first test I did not find great spin potential, but after having tried many textured strings in the meantime I have to say that the Pro Line No. II definitely lacks spin potential. The other categories did not change significantly compared to my last test, only power gets a downgrade. For my game spin is extremely important, and I can't use a string that does not support spin.
I have another set of the Pro Line No. II and will try it again soon. Hopefully I will find better spin. |
