String Tecnifibre Razor Code 1.25
Test Conditions Tension Racquet
49/46 lbs Head MicroGEL Prestige MP (MP, 18/20)
Absolute Rating Durability Power Control Feel Comfort Spin Tension Stability
Strung without problems at 22/21 kg; my normal tension for polys is 24/24 kg.
Played on clay court with Dunlop Tournament balls.
The string provided low power despite the low tension, but good control and touch on the other hand. So I agree with most testers on that. All other characteristics like spin, comfort, durability, tension stability and string movement were good.
On my other frames, I played MSV Focus-HEX Plus 38 1.15 and MSV Soft-Control 1.25. Both strings provide better power than Razor Code, and the Focus-Hex provides better spin. Razor Code provides better control. I personally prefer higher powered strings. The Razor Code is quite demanding in this regard. For advanced players this is certainly positive. Comparable to Signum Pro Poly Plasma or Hyperion.

Conclusion: Recommendable for players who do not need power. Great control and touch!

String Tyger Xtouch 1.30
Test Conditions Tension Racquet
53/53 lbs Head MicroGEL Prestige MP (MP, 18/20)
Absolute Rating Durability Power Control Feel Comfort Spin Tension Stability
Strung without problems at the tension I normally use for polys.
Played indoors on carpet with Dunlop Tournament balls.
On my other frame I used MSV Soft-Control 1.25 in parallel.
The Tyger provided great power and very good control. It plays similar to MSV Soft-Control (same power and control). The MSV provides slightly better touch. Spin is about the same. Good spin for a multifilament, however it does not reach the level of a soft poly. Durability and tension stability are good.
Conclusion: Good string, recommendable for multifilament players. It can compete with MSV Soft-Control, but does not reach up to Tecnifibre X-One Biphase in any of the categories.

String Tyger Rebound 1.25
Test Conditions Tension Racquet
51/51 lbs Head MicroGEL Prestige MP (MP, 18/20)
Absolute Rating Durability Power Control Feel Comfort Spin Tension Stability
Strung at my normal poly tension without problems.
Played indoors on carpet with Dunlop Tournament balls.
In parallel I played Blindtest String18 on my second frame.
The Tyger provided good power and very good control. It plays similar to Signum Pro Poly Plasma and Pro's Pro Plus Power. You need to be able to generate your power with appropriate swing. Next time I would string 2 lbs less to increase power. Blindtest String18 provides better power and spin but less control. The Tyger provides good durability and tension stability.
Conclusion: Good string, recommendable for players who like Signum Pro Poly Plasma or similar strings.

I would need to playtest both strings in parallel to detect differences.

String Blindtest String18 1.15  blind test
Test Conditions Tension Racquet
51/51 lbs Head MicroGEL Prestige MP (MP, 18/20)
Absolute Rating Durability Power Control Feel Comfort Spin Tension Stability
No problems during stringing.
Played indoors on carpet with Dunlop Tournament balls.
The string provided good power, spin and control. I really liked the thin gauge. Spin was excellent. Power and touch (feedback) were also great. The string feels soft and resilient off the stringer. Tension stability is very good. No string movement.
Since I'm not a string breaker I prefer thinner gauges. This string is comparable to the MSV Focus-Hex which I've played many times in the 1.10 mm gauge.
Conclusion: Very good string, liked it a lot.

I played MSV Hepta Twist 1.15 and Tyger RoughPoly 1.25 in parallel to this string. This one can definitely compete with the MSV Hepta Twist, my current favorite. It provides a bit less power but better control. However the Hepta Twist has been on the racquet for a longer so this difference is not 100% certain. In any case I like the Blindtest string much better than Tyger RoughPoly which seemed too stiff for me.

Test Conditions Tension Racquet

Absolute Rating Durability Power Control Feel Comfort Spin Tension Stability
No problems during stringing.
Played indoors on carpet with Dunlop Tournament balls.
I played MSV Hepta Twist 1.15 and Blindtest String18 in parallel. The RoughPoly does not provide as much power and spin. Durability and tension stability are good. This is an okay string, but for me it is too stiff.
I personally prefer softer polys like MSV Hepta Twist or MSV Focus-Hex.

String Prince Beast XP 16
Test Conditions Tension Racquet
51/51 lbs Head MicroGEL Prestige MP (MP, 18/20)
Absolute Rating Durability Power Control Feel Comfort Spin Tension Stability
Strung on a drop weight machine in two pieces at 23/23 kg.
Played on clay court with Dunlop Tournament, Wilson Tour Clay and Tennis Peters balls, as well as on hard court with Wilson, Dunlop and Penn balls from the US.
The string provides good control, power and spin. The string performed best at very high temperatures where it provided the power than I expected. Spin was also improved in hot conditions. I could hardly notice any tension loss during the test period.
Conclusion: In order to improve power I would either string it lower or use the 1.25 mm version.
This was a free test string. Thanks!

String Head PWR Fusion 16
Test Conditions Tension Racquet
53/53 lbs Head MicroGEL Prestige MP (MP, 18/20)
Absolute Rating Durability Power Control Feel Comfort Spin Tension Stability
Strung on a drop weight machine in two pieces. Strung 2 lbs lower compared to my standard multifilament tension.
The tension was spot on, the stringbed felt good from the start and even improved after the initial tension loss.
Played indoors on carpet with TennisPeters balls and on clay court with Dunlop Tournament balls.
This string provides amazing spin for a multifilament. Slice can get really evil. Good power and control. No string movement, which is amazing for a multifilament. Great comfort.
I really liked this string, it played similar to Tecnifibre X-One Biphase, Solinco Vanquish 1.30 and MSV Soft-Control. In order to detect the detailed differences I'd need to play these strings in parallel.

Conclusion: Great string, highly recommendable. It also comes at an affordable price.

String Solinco Vanquish 16
Test Conditions Tension Racquet
53/53 lbs Head MicroGEL Prestige MP (MP, 18/20)
Absolute Rating Durability Power Control Feel Comfort Spin Tension Stability
Strung on a drop weight machine in two pieces. I strung 2 lbs lower than my usual multifilament tension, which was a good decision: the stringbed felt nice from the start and was perfect for me after the initial tension loss.
Played on clay with Tretorn Control, Tretorn Stockholm Open, Tennis Peters, Head Championship and Dunlop Fort Tournament balls.
I really liked this string, it played similar to the Tecnifibre X-One Biphase and MSV Soft-Control. In order to detect small differences I'd have to play these strings in parallel.
Conclusion: Great string, highly recommendable. Price is nice too.

String Solinco Barb Wire 16
Test Conditions Tension Racquet
51/51 lbs Head MicroGEL Prestige MP (MP, 18/20)
Absolute Rating Durability Power Control Feel Comfort Spin Tension Stability
Strung on a drop weight machine in two pieces. Strung 2 lbs lower than my usual poly tension. There is very little stretch during stringing.
Played on clay with Tretorn Control, Tretorn Stockholm Open, Tennis Peters, Head Championship and Dunlop Fort Tournament balls.
The string provides excellent spin, even after a long playing time. I'd string another 2 lbs less next time.
On my other frame I played MSV Focus-HEX 1.18 in parallel. The Focus-Hex provides better power but loses in all other categories.
Conclusion: Great string!

String Blindtest String14A 1.25  blind test
Test Conditions Tension Racquet
53/53 lbs Head MicroGEL Prestige MP (MP, 18/20)
Absolute Rating Durability Power Control Feel Comfort Spin Tension Stability
Strung on a drop weight machine in two pieces at my standard tension. The string is quite elasic for a poly and stretches a bit.
Played on clay with Peters and Dunlop Tournament balls.
I played the Blindtest String 14B in parallel at the same conditions.
Backhand slice is evil with this string. Nice topspin on forehand and backhand, but I had expected more from a textured string. Very good power and control, better than 14B. Very good tension stability and durability.
Conclusion: Very good strings, but for me there are better alternatives in the textured poly range: SuperString Nikita Extreme, MSV Focus-Hex and MSV Hepta-TWIST, Topspin Cyber Twirl.
