The String of the Year 2006 survey is finished. 70 Stringforum users have participated in the survey.

Congratulations to the Signum Pro Poly Plasma, which defended its title from last year, and
Wilson NXT - they receive this year's title "String of the Year"!
Newcomer of the Year is the Signum Pro Plasma HEXtreme, which won a very
tight race against Babolat Pro Hurricane Tour in that category.
In the Poly section, Signum Pro Poly Plasma 1.18 reached the top ranks in the categories
Control, Feel, and Spin. Luxilon scored in the Comfort (Luxilon Big Banger Ace),
Durability and Tension Stability (both Luxilon
Big Banger Alu Power) categories. Topspin Cyber Flash won this year's title in the Power department.
In the Non-Poly section, Babolat X-Cel Premium got the top rank in the Comfort, Feel
and Power categories, Head Rip Control 16L received the title in the Durability and Tension
Stability departments, and Wilson NXT won the Control category.
