String of the Year 2007 Survey

December 1 - 27, 2007

The String of the Year 2007 survey is finished. 114 Stringforum users have participated in the survey. Many thanks to all people who submitted their votes!

Very important note: The result of this survey is based on opinion, not on testing. This means that it is not mandatory for the participants of this survey to have tested the strings they vote for. In the Poly department, the Signum Pro Poly Plasma successfully defended last year's title "Poly of the Year" (against Topspin Cyber Flash and Luxilon Big Banger Alu Power Rough) and also won the categories Control and Feel (both 1.18). "Newcomer of the Year", Topspin Cyber Blue (against Signum Pro Plasma Pure and MSV Focus Hex) also won the Power and Comfort (both 1.25) categories, while its elder sister Topspin Cyber Flash won the Durability (1.30) and Tension Stability (1.25) categories. Luxilon Big Banger Alu Power Rough 16L was voted as the poly with the best spin potential.

In the Non-Poly department we see that natural gut is still unsurpassed. Babolat VS Team, which did not pass the nomination limit last year, not only won the title "Non-Poly of the Year" (against Tecnifibre X-One Biphase and Wilson NXT Tour), but also clearly won all the remaining categories except "Durability".
In terms of durability, Prince Pro Blend DF 16 won the title against Head Rip Control 16L and Gosen OG-Sheep Micro 16.
