String of the Year 2011 Survey

December 5 - 26, 2011

The String of the Year 2011 survey is finished. 155 members participated in this survey in order to vote for their favorite strings. Many thanks to all people who submitted their votes!

Very important note: The result of this survey is based on opinion, not on testing. This means that it is not mandatory for the participants of this survey to have tested the strings they vote for. Looks like we have a new star in the universe of Poly strings: Solinco Tour Bite won the title "Poly of the Year 2011" with a slight edge over Tecnifibre Black Code and MSV Focus-Hex®. Solinco Tour Bite also won the Spin category, while most of the other Poly categories were dominated by Luxilon strings (Big Banger Original and Alu Power Rough). Kirschbaum Pro Line No. II won the Feel and Comfort departments.

The NonPoly department was again dominated by Babolat VS Team, and Tecnifibre X-One Biphase confirmed again its position as the most popular non-poly, non-gut string.

Maybe the fact that it is a natural gut string was the reason for the Babolat VS Team BT7 to win the title Newcomer of the Year 2011. On ranks 2 and 3 we find again two textured polys, Tecnifibre Ruff Code and Luxilon Adrenaline Rough, leading the flood of "rough" polys that were introduced this year.
