Default Babolat Pure Drive "pro stock"

can anyone tell me what differentiates a "pro stock" pure drive from retail ones?

they look identical to retail but they usually have a sticker on the throat that says 'babolat' and the players name.

perhaps they are just stock frames weighted and balanced at the factory for a particular player?

thank you.

Thats what I have heard as well...
I don't think Babolat does custom layups for pro stock,
with variations of flex and flexpoints.
could be wrong, but no evidence in forums or IRL has suggested
otherwise..
In that regard, it is a less sophisticated form of "pro stock".

thanks for your reply, ya it seems like mostly a waste buying one as its mostly just a retail babolat with lead and silicone applied to a certain players specs.

thanks again for your input.

Hi, i have a close friend use to play with a PD pro stock and is amazing, definitely much better than a retail.
Very stable, graphite much better, little heavier ( this is 326gr strung but it depends from the custom), great sweet pot, much more easy to control the ball, i think is ILLEGAL !
Try it, much, much better.

I have few pure drive prostock or Competitions.

Competition have no woofer grommet set and spl. material/layup.
100% different ball impact feel,,, Amazing!

Lets try!

If that is true, how does Babolat distinguish between layups, I have never seen any coding system etc?

Someone knows if, for example, a Pure Drive pro stock with Cortex can have different twistweight comparing to the retail?
