Default RS Lyon

Has anyone used the Lyon strings by Robin Soderling?
If so, in what racquet? Tension?
Feel/Comfort/Spin/Power?

Yes I have, it was on my babolat pure drive 46 main 44 crosses, low power, very good comfort, feel and spin.

Anyone else currently use this string from my last post, and have a quick review for me?!

It's similar to Weisscannon Silverstring. A bit more muted, a bit less power, a bit springier and a bit more comfortable. Shines best when you really step on the gas. Excellent control for really hard hitting. Good tension stability, too.

Just tried the 17g on my IG Prestige Mid Plus, 55/53 lbs, excellent control, great spin and tension stability so far...top notch string.

In terms of Feel & Comfort, Lyon 1.20 is superb. Spin is a little above average (this is a round string, after all) and Power is only average. So if you're looking for the first two characteristics, then this is a must try string in my opinion, but if it's more of the latter two that you're after, there are better choices.

In particular, RS Paris 1.20 has more Power and Spin as it is octagonal shaped. However, Paris' Feel & Comfort do not match Lyon.

Lyon could be good in a hybrid combination. I would put a spinny string of your choice in the mains, and Lyon as the cross string. I have done this with the also highly rated Signum Pro Plasma Hextreme Pure 1.20 in the mains, which is a spinny string with good power and control but not very comfortable. Then Lyon in the crosses to add comfort and feel, also with good control. It worked well -- I would use this combo again.

I also look forward to pairing Lyon with more extreme spin strings in the future.
