Default Soft Strings for tennis elbow.

I've had good luck with using a very soft multifilament string such as Wilson NXT or Gamma Live Wire strung at the lowest recommended tension for the racquet. Usually tennis elbow is caused by a stroke issue - hitting the ball late or simply overhitting with power. Taking a lesson might help with this. Good luck.

Aside from gut & multi's, if you want to use a poly, the softest that I have come across is Volkl V-Star. Some people have opined that it is as soft as a multi. Narrow gauges are likely to be more comfortable - in this case 1.10mm, 1.15 or 1.20. The downside is that thin soft strings can stretch, lose tension and become unintentionally powerful.
Another comfortable poly is Yonex Poly Tour Pro 1.20. It tends to give a muted feeling, but some don't mind that.
A third option is RS Lyon 1.20, which is soft but also has great feel. It is average to low powered, so you can string it low without losing control so soon.

In general lower tensions will feel more comfortable, but at a certain point with many strings a side effect can be difficult to control power via the trampoline effect.
