Laserfibre MS200 ECO

Laserfibre MS200 ECO

Evaluations of the Laserfibre MS200 ECO:

Henry Kaari, August 16, 2003:

   Place of purchase: Laserfibre

   Date of purchase: 07/2003

   Warranty: 10 years

   Price: $349

   Equipment:

drop-weight constant pull tensioning, 5-point mounting, flying clamps, portable, comes with cutters, needlenose pliers, allen keys, 6 sets of strings

   Experiences:

This is a first-rate product and company. Tim Sullivan (customer service) patiently answered all my questions before selling the machine to me. He guided me through my first stringing and in all aspects exceeded my expectations. The machine is a joy to use; usually one pull is all it takes. The clamps are rugged and hold well and the machine is very well made. I am very happy with the product. If I had more money, I would maybe get fixed clamps.

Robert, September 26, 2004:

   Place of purchase: Laserfibre

   Date of purchase: 08/2004

   Warranty: 10 years

   Price: $399

   Equipment:

drop weight constant pull, flying clamps, 4 point mounting system, 5 sets of strings

   Experiences:

Could not be more satisfied with my purchase. I don't string for others (about 5 string jobs per month), and wanted a heck of a good portable machine. The machine is built like a tank and SO easy to dissasemble.
The flying clamps are the best ones around and I really love the fact I don't have to repull to obtain the desired tension. Customer support from Tim has been outstanding. I would get the machine again - If I wanted to make some profit on the side I would have purchased the Laserfibre with fixed clamps. But for my needs the machine is perfect. Highly recommend.

eagle, October 8, 2004:

   Place of purchase: Laserfibre

   Date of purchase: 09/2004

   Warranty: 10 years

   Price: $424

   Equipment:

table top, drop weight constant pull, flying clamps, 4 point inside support, cast aluminum turntable for upgradeability with fixed clamps

   Experiences:

Just wanted to report that I've purchased an MS200 ECO. Thanks to all who've given me sage advice here in narrowing my choices and eventually leading to the purchase of the Laserfibre.
I've strung one of my racquets with it and everything turned out very well. It took me 1 hour and 20 minutes to complete the job. Stringing the mains was straightforward. Doing the crosses is a little more complicated and took a little longer. With my inexperience, I had to make sure that I start the weave correctly (over or under) with respect to the previous cross. It's also a good thing I made it a practice to check each cross after each weave since I jumped over two mains on two occassions. If I hadn't checked, I would have had to start all over again. So far, I'm very happy with the purchase and thanks to the experts here at Stringforum.net who've helped me along.
I've put together a quickie website providing my detailed impressions of the ECO including pictures. You're welcome to check it out at www.keohi.com/tennis/laserfibre.

Jason, September 2, 2005:

   Place of purchase: Laserfibre

   Date of purchase: 08/2005

   Warranty: 10 years

   Price: $450

   Equipment:

One pull/Any Angle dropweight, 5 point direct mounting, 2 Laserfibre flying clamps, tabletop machine. Also came with badminton mounts, diagonal cutter, and pliers free of charge.

   Experiences:

Delivery time was right on the dot, I requested the delivery to be within 2 weeks and it was there exactly 2 weeks from the day I ordered. The machine is easily assembled and disassembled without any tools necessary. This machine is very solid. The mounting system works very well and blocks no holes. Tim was very helpful and offered to give me a whole walk-through for stringing my first racquet which I denied. In the end he still gave me a huge list of checkpoints and tips and patiently answered all my questions. The machine is easy to use and the results are great. I'd surely buy this machine again.
