Silent Partner e.Stringer FL
Silent Partner e.Stringer FL

Evaluations of the Silent Partner e.Stringer FL:

Johnny Deng, November 28, 2001:

Place of purchase: Silent Partner Website

   Date of purchase: 08/2001

   Warranty: 5 years

   Price: $599

   Equipment:

upright model with cheap electronic tensioner, 6-point inside mounting system, 2 swivel clamps; awl and needle nose pliers included

   Experiences:

The machine handles racquets well, needs some tinkering before actually stringing, overall a good machine for a beginner, though thinking back, I would rather have bought a different machine, durability is a factor I am wondering about now...

Place of purchase: Silent Partner Website

   Date of purchase: 08/2005

   Warranty: 5 years

   Price: $599

   Equipment:

upright stand, electronic tensioner, 6-point inside mounting system, 2 fixed clamps

   Experiences:

Delivery time about 7 days but the electronic tensioner spool was crushed by UPS. Company sent new one. Initial racket strung was loose, purchased the calibrator, and noted the machine was undertensioned by 11 lbs. Allowing for corrected tension by adjusting the set screw or simply moving the pointer higher, I have had no problems. I am aware this is a newer and better motor, bi-directiional, and hope it will handle the torque over time. I string to 60-62 lbs range. So far pleased with the machine. Liked the "constant pull" type machines vs lock outs but just my preference. Other than allowing for correct calibration, the machine is easy to use and works great. Have noticed other e-stringer machines have been 5-15 lbs undertensioned. Company should re-enforce the need for initial calibration.
