I've been stringing my Wilson Hyper Carbon 4.0 with this string for several years. As a senior player, I tend to string looser than average to give myself added power. The thinner strings allow me to do this without appreciable loss of control, and since I'm not a power hitter, I seldom break strings. This string is ideal for seniors.

This string plays almost exactly like Wilson NXT Tour 18, and seems to hold tension a little better after fraying begins.

Too liverly, almost "wild"... maybe with a better technique than mine you can "control this beast"... very powerful and explosive.
Better use the 17 gauge.

See my review of the NRG2 17 gauge to compare with the thinner version of this string.

Easy and fast stringing (two piece method).
Tested indoors on clay court with Dunlop Roland Garros all court standard balls at around 13°C.
Lots of string movement when hitting extreme topspin and poor tension stability after one hour of play.
The strengths of this string are power, control, arm protection.
Unfortunately the high price makes this string unaffordable for many players.

Wilson NXT Tour 1.24 provides better overall quality for my playing type. Spin is not really the strong aspect of the NRG2.

Tournament tested on outdoor hard court and Har-Tru surfaces in 4.0 / 4.5 USTA male NTRP tournaments. Provides nice power on serves, excellent control and crisp feel on groundies and volleys. Excellent price / performance value.

Found that string plays somewhat better than Laserfibre Supreme 17 for power, spin, control and tension stability. Strings will fray, but hold tension until they break.
