 (12 hrs.)
After 2 hours of play the Focus-Hex Ultra unleashed its full potential. Consistent spin and control and no arm problems despite their direct, wire-like feel.
The white version seemed more consistent than the black version.
Tension seemed to settle after 30 minutes of hitting, and then was maintained for a very long time. Compared to that, the Solinco Hyper-G had lost its tension more quickly.
At the net I lacked some touch.
Durability surprised me. Even framed hits did not break the 1.15 mm string. After 9 hours it felt dead but did not show significant signs of wear. Spin was excellent until the very end.
Overall the Focus-Hex Ultra has been my string for the past season. I prefer the white version since it seems to provide a tad better touch and control.

Compared to Isospeed Black Fire and Solinco Hyper-G.
The Black Fire provided the least power although I strung it 2 kg less. Due to the required racquet speed the spin is almost on the level of the Hyper-G, but not reaching up to the Ultra.
The Hyper-G felt more solid and comfortable during the first 2-3 hours.
The MSV maintained its characteristics much better than the Hyper-G.
Serves worked much better with the Black Fire compared to the other strings.
At the net the Hyper-G provided the best touch during the first few hours.

Very easy to string.
Played on clay court with Dunlop Fort Tournament balls.
The string felt very crisp and provided good power. Feel was very nice. Spin was okay but not extraordinary. Durability is absolutely sufficient for me, but I'm not a string breaker in general.
Overall I liked this string a lot, great fit for my Yonex frame.

Compared to the WeissCannon Ultra Cable, the Focus-Hex Ultra provides higher power and better feel and touch, but not that extreme spin.

No problems during stringing. Played exclusively on clay court.
The string provides nice playability, good control and spin. Comfort seems good as well, however I'm not that sensitive so I can't really tell.

I compared this to the 1.20 mm version and the 1.15 mm version performs much better for me. Feel is pretty good, spin potential is high and stays high. I was surprised by the durability - played 6 hours so far and there are only slight notches. I guess it will last 2-4 additional hours. Very good for a 1.15 mm string; the Signum Pro Firestorm 1.17 lasts me only 2 hours.
I'm very happy and considering switching to the MSV.
Don't string it too tight, otherwise you will lack touch.
Thanks to MSV for the sample.

Very easy to string and also to play. Very good allround string with good control and spin. I believe the spin potential comes from the thin gauge rather than the hexagonal shape which you can hardly sense. Durability is good for this gauge. Comfort is relatively good for a poly.
