String WeissCANNON Power Principle 1.20
Test Conditions Tension Racquet
44/46 lbs Prince EXO3 Tour 100 16x18 (MP, 16/18)
Absolute Rating Durability Power Control Feel Comfort Spin Tension Stability
Strung on a drop weight machine in two pieces. Thanks to the very slick surface it was very easy to string. Very nice to weave the crosses.

Played for approx. 4 hours so far indoors on carpet and for approx. 6 hours on clay court with Dunlop Tournament balls. I'm a lower leage team player, hitting mainly from the baseline with lots of spin.
During the first hits I already noticed the high level of power that the string provided. Spin potential was typical for a thin poly. After getting used to the string I was able to control the depth of my shots quite well. I did not have any arm or shoulder problems. Durability is very good for the thin gauge. The very slick surface provides a great snap back effect and there is little notching. There was almost no string movement.
Nex time I will try it as a cross string in a hybrid combination.

Many thanks to WeissCannon for the samples!

String LaserTec Super Star 1.20
Test Conditions Tension Racquet
42/44 lbs Prince EXO3 Tour 100 16x18 (MP, 16/18)
Absolute Rating Durability Power Control Feel Comfort Spin Tension Stability
Strung on a drop weight machine in two pieces. The string has a star shape, not twisted. But during stringing the string does twist normally as all other strings. You have to be careful not to damage the edges when pulling the crosses.
Played for 7 hours so far indoors on carpet with Dunlop Tournament balls. I hit mainly from the baseline with lots of spin.
From the start I was able to control my shots very well. The string plays similar to a thin round string. Power is sufficient, but you need to have a powerful swing. Good grip on slice and topspin. Kick serves worked well.
After 3 hours there were slight notches and some wear on the string's profile. Spin potential was still there but not as good as initially.
I did not have any arm nor shoulder problems. There was almost no string movement.
The string does not have significant highlights nor weaknesses. Durability is below average though.

String LaserTec Super Spin 1.23
Test Conditions Tension Racquet
42/44 lbs Prince EXO3 Tour 100 16x18 (MP, 16/18)
Absolute Rating Durability Power Control Feel Comfort Spin Tension Stability
Strung on a drop weight machine in two pieces. The surface is very slick. The 4 edges are significant, but not as sharp as on the Tennisman Cube S. No problems during stringing although the diagonal is around 1.7 mm. Sometimes the string twists a bit (as all profiled strings do). You feel the edges when weaving the crosses and you need to be careful not to damage the edges.
Played for approx. 8 hours so far on carpet with Dunlop Tournament balls. I hit from the baseline with a relatively high amount of spin.
I had very good control from the start. It feels like hitting with a round 1.35 mm string. Power is sufficient but requires a full swing. Slice and topspin, as well as kick serves, worked well.
So far the characteristics almost didn't change. The edges in the sweetspot feel similar to those near the frame even after 8 hours.
I did not have any arm or shoulder problems. There was no string movement and there are almost no notches after 8 hours.
Highlights of this string are durability, spin potential, and tension stability. No issues with comfort.
If you are looking for a spin string with sufficient power you should test this one.

Absolute Rating Durability Power Control Feel Comfort Spin Tension Stability
Strung on a drop weight machine in two pieces. Very soft for a poly. The surface has a twisted texture. No problems during stringing, but it doesn't glide as easily as a round poly when weaving the crosses. No problems tying knots.

Played for approx. 5 hours so far indoors on carpet with Dunlop Tournament balls.
During the first hour there was some tension loss, but I instantly felt comfortable with the string. Power is sufficient, I had very good control and feel. I didn't have any arm nor shoulder problems. Spin was well supported.
So far the playing characteristics were consistent and there were hardly any notches.

Highlights of this string were its feel, control and comfort. Definitely worth a test.

Strung on a drop weight machine in two pieces. The surface is very smooth. You can feel the four edges but they are not as sharp compared to the Tennisman Cube S. Although the diagonal diameter is 1.6 mm stringing was no issue. When weaving the crosses the edges are evident and you need to be careful not to damage them. Also when tying off make sure not to cut the string with its own edges.

Played for approx. 6 hours so far on carpet with Dunlop Tournament balls. I play in a lower league, mainly from the baseline, with a rather high amount of spin.
I had great control from the start. It plays more like a 1.30 mm string. Power is sufficient but you need to have a fast swing. Good slice and topspin support. Kick serves also worked well. So far the playing characteristics haven't changed significantly. Even after 6 hours of play the edges within the sweetspot still feel like those which are more towards the outside.
No arm or shoulder problems.
There was no string movement and there are almost no notches after 6 hours of play.

Overall a well balanced string which is worth a test.

Test Conditions Tension Racquet
42/44 lbs Wilson BLX Six-One Team 18x20 Amplifeel (MP, 18/20)
Absolute Rating Durability Power Control Feel Comfort Spin Tension Stability
Strung on a drop weight machine in two pieces.
This is a square shaped string with very sharp edges. I assume they have been created by slicing a round string. Weaving the crosses was not easy as the sharp edges are not gliding very well. I had to be careful not to damage the strings. Also during tie-off I had to be careful not to cut the string with itself.

Played approx. 10 hours so far on clay court with Dunlop Tournament balls. I had very good control from the start. Also power was quite high, but I was able to tame it via spin. Kick serves worked very well too. The playing characteristics did not change much during the first few hours. No problems with arm or shoulder. There was no string movement and there were only slight notches after 10 hours of play.

I can highly recommend this string as it comes at a nice price currently and provides excellent value.

String LaserTec Pro Tour 1.25  blind test
Test Conditions Tension Racquet
40/42 lbs Wilson BLX Six-One Team 18x20 Amplifeel (MP, 18/20)
Absolute Rating Durability Power Control Feel Comfort Spin Tension Stability
Tested in a blind test provided by Tennisman.
String on a drop weight machine in two pieces (i.e. 4 lbs less compared to the 1.20 mm version). It was recommended to string 15% lower than usual. Easy to string due to the round shape and the smooth surface. Stretched a bit less compared to other polys.

Played for 12 hours so far on clay court with Dunlop Tournament balls.
I had very good control from the start. The low tension did not have any negative effect. Power was absolutely sufficient. No problems with arm nor shoulder. Spin was good thanks to the snap back. Profiled strings provide better initial spin potential. On the other hand, the Lasertec Pro Tour maintained its spin potential very consistently. No notches so far either. Those two obversations could be attributed to the special surface treatment mentioned in the product description. The string lost a bit of tension during the first few hours but then maintained its tension very well.

If you are looking for a durable string and a consistent spin potential, you should try this string.

This was actually a blind test provided by Tennisman.
Strung on a drop weight machine in two pieces at 20/21 kg. It was recommended to reduce the tension by approx. 15%. It was easy to string due to the smooth surface and round shape. Slightly less stretch compared to other polys.
Played for approx. 10 hours so far on clay court with Dunlop Tournament balls. I had very good control from the start. Power was absolutely sufficient. No problems with my arm nor shoulder. Good snap back resulted in good spin. Shaped strings provide easier access to spin initially. The positive aspect about the Pro Tour is that the spin potential remained rather constant. So far almost no notching. The snap back and the resistance to wear could be the result of the special surface treatment mentioned in the product description.
If you are looking for a solid string and consistent spin potential you should try this string.

String Discho Carbon 8 1.30
Test Conditions Tension Racquet
44/46 lbs Fischer Progressor NT (MP, 16/20)
Absolute Rating Durability Power Control Feel Comfort Spin Tension Stability
Strung on a drop weight machine in two pieces. The octagonal shape was evident when weaving the crosses. But no problems during stringing.
The string lost a significant amount of tension during the first 2-3 hours but then its characteristics remained constant.

Played for approx. 8 hours on clay court with Dunlop Tournament balls. I had very good control from the start. Power is rather low but on the other hand spin potential is very good due to the 8 edges. The shape did not wear smooth with time. I didn't get any arm problems from this string.

If you are looking for a control string at a good price, you should try the Carbon 8.

String WeissCANNON Fire Stroke 1.20
Test Conditions Tension Racquet
44/46 lbs Fischer Progressor NT (MP, 16/20)
Absolute Rating Durability Power Control Feel Comfort Spin Tension Stability
Strung on a drop weight machine in two pieces. The string feels stiff and the 4 edges are evident. But not as sharp as the Ultra Cable's. So the crosses were not as painful to weave.
I chose the same tension as for my previous test as it worked for me in the past.
Played outdoors with Dunlop Fort balls.
The playing characteristics outdoors also convinced me. Compared to the Blue Rock'n Power the playing characteristics did not change that much. The tension did drop during the first 2-3 hours but the spin potential remained pretty constant. Maybe because the edges are not as sharp as on the Blue Rock'n Power.
I did not get any arm problems even after longer sessions.
Recommendable for everyone who wants a string with long lasting playing characteristics.
